Replace your registration certificate, renewal or receipt

You can get a copy of your vehicles:

  • registration certificate
  • registration renewal
  • receipt

The vehicle must be registered in your name.

Did you know that you don't need your registration certificate to sell your vehicle?

You can notify Service SA you've sold the vehicle online. The buyer can also transfer the registration online.

If you still need your certificate, follow the steps below.

Replace your certificate

Log in to mySAGOV using a browser - not the mobile app. Select Start now

Follow these steps:

  1. Select View and manage my vehicles
  2. Select Details alongside the plate number
  3. Scroll down and under Your records, select Download registration details certificate
  4. A message will display, providing access to a PDF copy of the certificate.

It's free to download your certificate online, otherwise a $20 fee applies.
