The Barring and Online Employee Notification (BOEN) system allows authorised betting operators to notify the commissioner of:
- new gambling staff details
- staff that have stopped working with the gambling provider, including removing their details
- patrons that are barred from the venue.
BOEN must be used to keep up to date details of all staff who have access to the system.
Use the Employee declarations and consent form to add new staff.
Gambling providers and staff
BOEN allows staff of the gambling provider to:
- access the details of patrons barred from betting with the provider
- upload a copy of a new barring order
- report if a barred person contravenes or fails to comply with a barring order.
BOEN is also used by staff in venues with gaming machines.
You can request the latest BOEN user guide for gambling providers by emailing gamblingadministration@sa.gov.au

Create a BOEN administrator form
If the gambling provider doesn't have a current administrator, email the completed form to gamblingadministration@sa.gov.au to create a BOEN administrator account.
