Find out what you need to know if you have a current NDIS Worker Check.
Notifying changes
If you have an NDIS Worker Check, you must notify the Screening Unit if you change your:
- name or use another name or names
- address or contact details.
How to notify the Screening Unit
Once logged in click on your name (top right-hand corner) and select My Profile.
Continuous monitoring of checks
After an NDIS Worker Check clearance is granted, information sources, including SA Police and the Department for Child Protection, are monitored for any new information relevant to a person's check status. Also, the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and authorities in other states and territories notify the Screening Unit if an NDIS Worker Check holder commits certain offences in their jurisdiction.
If new information means a person's clearance status is changed or revoked, the person and known organisations will be notified.
Cancel your NDIS Worker Check
You can ask to cancel your NDIS Worker Check clearance at any time.
We cannot cancel the clearance if:
- the clearance is suspended, or
- we are undertaking, or proposing to undertake, a risk assessment.
If you need an NDIS worker check in the future, you will need to complete a new application.
How to cancel a clearance
Request cancellation by logging an enquiry through your Screening SA account.
- From your account homepage, click 'Log an Enquiry'.
- Select 'Application Enquiries' as the enquiry type and 'Withdrawal Request' as the subtype.
Refund
The original application fee is not refundable.
