You can only apply for a bingo licence if you're 18 years or older, and acting on behalf of an organisation. Once the licence has been approved, it applies for 12 months before requiring renewal.
Make sure you attach all the relevant supporting evidence - what you'll need.
Lodge the application at least 10 business days before the sessions begin.

What you'll need
Your application must include:
- details of any other organisation which will benefit from the bingo session(s)
- any outstanding financial statements, including an auditor’s report for any gross annual proceeds period exceeding $50,000.
Unincorporated organisations applying for the first time must also include:
- a copy of the organisation’s constitution
- names and addresses of management committee members
- the number of financial members.
What happens next
Consumer and Business Services (CBS) will contact you when your licence is approved.
Your application can be refused if:
- the prizes include prohibited goods or services
- any gift, reward or benefit related to the lottery includes prohibited goods or services.
Renew a major bingo session licence
If your major bingo session licence has expired, you must apply to renew the licence.
Fee: $11.00
Change, cancel or surrender a licence
You must submit a written request to CBS to change the days, times or venues of a session at least 10 business days before the session begins.
You must get approval from CBS to cancel, suspend or surrender a bingo licence.
