Preclusions and precluded people applying for an Aged Care Sector Employment Check

There are 2 Aged Care Sector Employment Check outcomes that will stop a person working in aged care. These are:

  • precluded
  • not cleared.

A precluded notice is issued to a person who has been found guilty of a precluding offence. You cannot appeal a precluded outcome.

Apply for internal review

A not cleared notice is issued when the Screening Unit believes you pose a risk of harm to older people. You may apply for an internal review of this decision with the Screening Unit. You need to follow the instructions provided on your notice, to apply for an internal review.
