Raising grandchildren and relatives

If you are raising a grandchild or another relative's child, support is available if you need help.

The Council of Aboriginal Elders of South Australia grannies group is a network of Aboriginal grandparents who advocate on behalf of issues affecting their children, grandchildren and their community.

Parenting SA provides a range of information including parent easy guides for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families.

Grandparents for Grandchildren provides support to grandparents and other kinship carers who may be struggling with the complexities of caring for their grandchildren, phone 8212 1937.

Carer and Community Support helps carers working in the Aboriginal community, phone 8433 9555.
