Electricity power outages
The electricity distribution network carries electricity to around 850,000 customers. It is operated by the privately owned SA Power Networks (SAPN). If there is a power failure, SAPN will usually respond and restore the electricity supply.
The state government is not responsible for the distribution network.
Is your power out?
Search for current outages, or report an outage in your area, on the SA Power Network website.
Register for Power@MyPlace, SA Power Networks’ free messaging service to receive information about outages by SMS or email.
Make sure you:
- stay safe during a power outage
- know what to do when the power goes out - SA Power Networks.
