Apply for your learner's permit (L's)

To get your car learner's permit (L's) you must:

  • be at least 16 years old
  • pass a learner's theory test.

There's 2 ways to complete your learner's test.

Complete the myLs course online

Complete your learner's test online by doing the myLs course.
Complete your learner's test at Service SA

Book to do your learner's test in person at a Service SA centre.
