Driver's licence

Checking your driving history

There are a few ways you can check your driving history.

To see how many demerit points you have accrued, go to Demerit points.

If you need official documentation, you can request a driver licence report that shows your driving history and traffic infringements for the past ten years.

Driver licence report

You can get your driving history online through a mySA GOV account, at a Service SA customer service centre or by mail.

Example report (340.5 KB PDF)

This report costs $17 and contains details of your current licence status, issue date, classes, demerit points, offences and any licence enforcements - eg disqualifications or suspensions. It is supplied for employment, insurance and overseas licensing. It is not suitable for use in legal proceedings.
