Driver's licence

Checking your driving history

There are a few ways you can check your driving history.

If you just want to see how many demerit points you currently have, go to Demerit points.

If you need something more official, there are two reports that show your driving history and traffic infringements for the past ten years:

  • driver licence report
  • driver licence report certified - for legal proceedings eg court appearances.

Driver licence report

You can get your driving history online through a mySA GOV account, at a Service SA customer service centre or via mail.

Example report (340.5 KB PDF)

This report costs $17 and is generated automatically. It contains details of your current licence status, issue date, classes, demerit points, offences and any licence enforcements - eg disqualifications or suspensions. It is not suitable for use in legal proceedings.
