To apply for the concessions for residential parks residents, scan and email your completed application to concessions@sa.gov.au. Processing delays will apply to applications received by post.
People who live in a residential or caravan park may be eligible to receive a single combined concession to help with their energy, water and sewerage bills. They may also be eligible to receive the Cost of Living Concession.
No Emergency Services Levy (fixed property) concession is payable, as this levy is not normally charged to residents of residential parks.
Eligibility
You must:
- occupy the property as your principal place of residence
- hold an eligible concession card or receive an eligible Centrelink payment
Eligible cards:
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Gold Card from the Department of Veterans' Affairs
- Totally and Permanently Incapacitated (TPI)
- Extreme Disablement Adjustment (EDA)
- War Widow
- issued to a person with 80 or more overall impairment points under the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004
- Low Income Health Care Card
- Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
Eligible Centrelink payments:
- JobSeeker Payment
- Widow Allowance
- Youth Allowance
- Partner Allowance
- Parenting Payment
- Special Benefit
- Community Development Program (CDP)
- New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS)
- ABSTUDY
- Austudy
- War widow pension under legislation of the United Kingdom or New Zealand.
Concession amount
The concession amount is indexed each financial year. The amount you can receive depends on your living arrangements and the utilities you pay for. For example, from 1 July 2022:
- residents who own their own dwelling and pay for water, sewerage and energy - up to $572.73 per annum (paid quarterly)
- tenants who pay for water and energy - up to $376.33 per annum (paid quarterly).
