The English as an Additional Language or Dialect program provides support for students of non-English speaking backgrounds and their families at schools and new arrivals centres. The program helps students to access the curriculum in mainstream education through:
- language and literacy support
- bilingual support
- community support through community liaison officers
- educational psychology support
- interpreting and translating services.
