A Centrelink Health Care Card (HCC) is now eligible for concession travel. You don't need a Transport Concession Card if you have a HCC.
For Adelaide Metro services, buy and validate a concession metroCARD or ticket and always carry your HCC on board Adelaide Metro to show when requested.
For regional bus services, show your HCC when buying a ticket to receive concession fares.
Concession travel on public transport (50% discount) is available for eligible Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cardholders and full-time students.
Children under 5 and holders of a South Australian Senior’s Card or Special Pass travel free at all times.
Discounted fares are also available for:
- Eligible asylum seekers – asylum seeker concessions
- Companions of people with a disability – public transport companion cards
