Apply for energy bill relief - Off-grid and embedded networks

Some embedded network residents need to apply for the energy bill relief for the 2023-24 financial year using the form on this page.

You don't need to apply if you receive bills from an electricity retailer, such as AGL or Origin, or if you're receiving the energy concession.

Who should apply

To apply you'll need:

  • your Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN) or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) file number
  • information about how you pay for electricity
  • your bank details – for example your BSB and account number

Other ways to apply

Who should apply

Use this form only if both of the following apply to your circumstances:

  • You don’t receive the state energy concession or hold one of the eligible cards or payments
  • You don’t receive a bill from an electricity retailer because
    • you live in an embedded network or residential park
    • you generate your own energy

What happens next

After you apply, ConcessionsSA will check your details against Centrelink or DVA records and assess your eligibility for the energy bill relief.

If eligible, you’ll receive a one-off payment of $500 directly into your bank account by electronic funds transfer (EFT).
