The gaming machines gambling code of practice prohibits a licensee from offering inducements that encourage patrons to gamble.
However, there are some inducements that are permitted, including:
- complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and refreshments of a nominal value
- participation in an acceptable trade promotion lottery
- participation in an acceptable loyalty program.
Loyalty programs must meet a range of criteria and be approved by the Commissioner for Liquor and Gambling.
