Approval of people working with gaming machines

It's your responsibility as a licensee to ensure the following people are approved by the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner.

  • Anyone in a position of authority within your corporate structure or trust including:
    • a sole-trader or persons in a partnership
    • directors and shareholders, including where a shareholder is a body corporate
    • trustees and beneficiaries of the trust associated with the licensed entity
    • anyone who exercises influence or control over the business.
  • All people who receive profits or proceeds from the business.
  • Anyone who is employed to work as a gaming machine technician.

Minors who are shareholders in a proprietary company, or who are beneficiaries under a trust, don't need approval.

  • your licence number
  • contact details of the person or people to be approved
  • the application fee.

  • if the person has been approved as a responsible person or in a position of authority under a current liquor licence in SA
