A place is any:

  • area
  • region
  • locality
  • city
  • suburb
  • town
  • township or settlement
  • geographical or topographical feature.

It includes:

  • railway station
  • hospital
  • school
  • other place or building that is, or is likely to be, of public or historical interest.
