The maximum bond for residential tenancy agreements:
- up to 4 weeks rent if weekly rent is $800 or less
- up to 6 weeks rent if weekly rent is more than $800.
Residential park tenancies
The maximum bond for park tenancies is up to 4 weeks rent.
Rooming houses
The maximum bond for rooming house agreements is up to 2 weeks rent.
Receipts
Landlords must give the tenant a receipt within 48 hours of receiving the bond.
