Provide proof of rent

Step 6 of 7 in Help paying bond and rent

You will need to provide the SA Housing Trust with proof of your tenancy details. You can either:

Email the SA Housing Trust

If your agent or landlord has completed the online ePOD they will give you a reference number.

The SA Housing Trust will respond and ask you to formally agree to the financial assistance for the property.

Once you agree, the SA Housing Trust will send the bond guarantee details and the electronic payment to your agent or landlord. The guarantee can be lodged online the following day if the agent or landlord is registered with Residential Bonds Online.

Attend an SA Housing Trust office

You can attend your closest regional office and provide any of the following;

  • ePOD reference number if your landlord has completed the online form
  • printed copy of the Property owner/agent's declaration form completed by your landlord
  • copy of your lease if it is no more than 2 weeks old.

The SA Housing Trust will send the bond guarantee information and the electronic payment to your landlord.

Tell the SA Housing Trust if your email or phone number changes. They will contact you every 12 months or at the end of your lease to check if the bond needs to stay lodged. The bond may be released if you can't be contacted or don't respond.
