Changing rules in an incorporated association

Association rules can be changed if the membership agrees by a special resolution, or by other provisions in the association's registered rules.

You must register a rule change with CBS within one month.

CBS can refuse any changes if they don't comply with the Act.

A standard fee of $83.50 applies to all applications.

Late fees apply on top of the normal fee if you lodge after the specified time:

  • less than one month late - $47.25
  • more than one month, but less than three months - $96.50
  • more than three months - $206.00.
