If an incorporated association chooses to deregister, it must notify CBS using the form below.
To submit this form, a special resolution must have been passed to voluntarily deregister the association.
What you’ll need
- A copy of the meeting minutes, signed by the person who presided over the meeting, to show evidence that:
- at least 21 days written notice of the intention to deregister was provided to members
- a special resolution was passed by at least 75% of members at the meeting
- the applicant being authorised by the association to apply for deregistration
- how assets are to be distributed.
- A copy of the rules of the association to be wound up.
- Exemption from CBS (if applicable).
What happens next
An assessment officer will review your application within 15 business days and provide feedback.
