Pre-assessment of rules of an incorporated association

An incorporated association can ask Consumer and Business Services (CBS) to conduct a pre-assessment of its proposed rule changes, by submitting the required information for response.

What you’ll need

  • A copy of the proposed rules (including any changes the association intends to adopt)
  • Copy of the existing rules/constitution (if you require advice of what process the association must follow to change the rules validly)
  • If the applicant is not the public officer, a signed letter of authorisation providing the applicant the authority to act on behalf of the association

What happens next

Your application will be assigned to an assessment officer for review within 15 business days and feedback will be provided to you.
