As a vendor using gas at an outdoor event, you must make sure your gas installation and equipment is safe for use. Your appliances must also be certified for use in Australia.
Nominate a capable person to develop a gas safety plan before the event. They can also be responsible for checking staff follow the plan during the event.
Complete the online checklist and submit it for approval.
Who can apply
Any vendor using LPG cylinders and gas appliances at a festival or event should submit a gas safety checklist to the Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR).
What you'll need
You'll need to upload any documents relevant to your business and stall. This could include risk assessments, emergency plans and photos of your equipment.
What happens next
An OTR gas inspector will review your submission and contact you if they need to clarify something with you or require more information on your submission.
