R and S series
  • Proprietary rights issued between 1 September 1997 to 30 November 1998
  • Proprietary rights relinquished unless plate is removed prior to vehicle being sold
  • Reallocation rights
Grand Prix
  • Special series issued proprietary rights/class specific rights
  • Reallocation rights
  • Reallocation rights issued before 2002 are not subject to the five year lapse rule
Numeric
  • Class specific rights:
    • auction
    • private treaty
    • direct agreement with registrar
  • Restricted rights
  • No rights
Jubilee
  • Certain series issued proprietary rights (refer topic 38)
