Getting around with a disability

Apply for a vision-impaired travel pass

People with impaired vision can apply to travel free on Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams using a travel pass.

What you'll need

  • A medical certificate from an ophthalmologist, optometrist or medical practitioner.
  • Two passport-sized colour photographs certified by a Justice of the Peace, police officer, bank manager, medical practitioner or minister of religion.

How to apply

1. Application form

Download and complete the application for a travel pass (66.1 KB PDF) for a person with vision impairment.

2. Lodging the form

Return the completed application form, photograph and any other supporting documents to:

Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure
Public Transport Services
GPO Box 1533
Adelaide SA 5001

Successful applicants will receive information explaining how to use the pass and a photo-identification card that must be carried when using public transport.
