The SA Concessions Energy Discount Offer (SACEDO) gives you extra discounts if your retailer is Origin Energy and you already receive the standard energy concession.
The offer is different to the energy concession. You can be with any retailer to get the concession, but you must be with Origin to receive the SACEDO.
The SACEDO includes:
- a guaranteed ongoing 17% off electricity usage and supply charges (Origin will provide customers 90 days' notice of any changes)
- a guaranteed ongoing 11% off natural gas usage and supply charges
- flexible payment options
- no late payment, processing, paper bill, credit card or exit fees.
It does not matter if you have electricity or gas, or both - you can still get the discounts and improved terms.
For existing SACEDO customers, the rate will change from 21% to 17% from 1 June 2023. Origin will send letters to all customers with detailed information about the change.

How to apply
You can only get the SACEDO if you are already receiving the energy concession.
Existing Origin customers
Phone Origin on 1300 791 465 to apply.
If you are already receiving the energy concession, the SACEDO discount will start as soon as you agree to the plan.
Customers with a different retailer
You must change your retailer to Origin to take up the SACEDO.

Origin will organise a special meter read free of charge and transfer your energy account.
When you receive your first electricity bill from Origin, call the ConcessionsSA Hotline on 1800 307 758 to keep your standard energy concession running. Origin cannot transfer your concession.
