Emergency help for carers

If you are in a life-threatening emergency, ring 000 (or ring 112 if ringing from a mobile phone with no coverage).

Crisis Care

Phone 131 611 - provides counselling and practical help for individuals and families in any type of crisis. Open 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm weekdays and 24 hours a day on weekends and public holidays.

Lifeline

Phone 131 114 - provides crisis support, telephone counselling and suicide prevention 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Assessment and Crisis Intervention Service

Phone 131 465 - provides a mental health crisis intervention service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Kids Helpline

Phone 1800 55 1800 - provides a confidential counselling service for 5- to 25-year-olds 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
