Each gaming machine licence specifies the maximum number of gaming machines approved for a venue. The most any venue can have is 40 machines.
You can apply to decrease the number of gaming machines approved for your venue at any time provided:
- any excess gaming machines have been removed from the venue
- any relevant gaming machine entitlements have been sold through the government’s approved trading system or otherwise transferred.
If you decrease the number of gaming machines installed at your premises and as a result choose to relocate the gaming area or make alterations to the existing gaming area, you might need approval to redefine the gaming area, depending on the extent of the changes.
