Vary an existing gaming licence

Vary your trading hours

Gaming machines can only be operated during the approved trading hours under the associated liquor licence.

If you hold a responsible gambling agreement with a recognised industry body, the operating hours must include a minimum six hour break every day.

This can be:

  • one period of six hours
  • two periods of three hours
  • three periods of two hours.

In any other case gaming machines cannot be operated before 10.00 am on Monday to Friday and between 2.00 am and 10.00 am on Saturday and Sunday.

Gaming machines can’t be operated in any gaming venue on Good Friday or Christmas Day.

Your licence will outline any other conditions.
