Temporary accommodation after a bushfire

Temporary accommodation can refer to buildings or structures that are placed or constructed on the land. Conditions for approval include:

  • the accommodation is used by the owner
  • A 20 metre setback is maintained and there is a clearance area from remaining or regenerating clusters of vegetation
  • the accommodation is used for no more than 2 years or until the replacement dwelling is occupied  - whichever occurs first.

Approval processing time is within 10 days.
