Department for Child Protection

The primary objective of the Department for Child Protection (DCP) is to work with government and non-government agencies to keep children and young people safe from abuse and neglect, and to support families through the administration of the state's child protection statutory framework. The department is committed to placing the safety of children and young people at the centre of decision-making, and work across the child protection system to amplify their voices and the voices of their families and carers.
