Update two-factor authentication

To update your two-factor authentication, eg change your mobile number or change your preferred verification method to receive your verification codes via SMS instead of by an authenticator app – you’ll need to remove two-factor authentication and set it up again.

To remove two-factor authentication:

  1. Log in to your mySAGOV account
  2. Select My account
  3. Select Manage two-factor authentication
  4. Select Remove
  5. Select Continue

You can now set up two-factor authentication again, this time entering your new mobile number or choosing a different verification method.
