Private certifier registration and forms

To practice, a private certifier must hold a certificate of registration.

Regulation 93A of the Development Regulations 2008 prescribes the criteria for registration as a private certifier in South Australia.

To register, a person must:

  • have the relevant qualifications and experience set out in regulation 91
  • hold a professional indemnity insurance policy as prescribed in regulation 93.

Private certifiers must also comply with a code of practice (71.7 KB PDF).
