Retirement villages and residential aged care facilities
Recognising South Australia and Greater Adelaide's ageing population, and the State's aspiration to be a global leader in health and ageing, the Minister for Planning has declared proposed retirement villages and residential aged care and associated facilities, valued over $20 million, will be assessed under the major development pathway.
This declaration does not imply government support or otherwise for any submitted proposals. All proposals must undergo a whole of government assessment process and Government Architect led design review.
This declaration is currently for a period until 30 June 2018. Any proposals submitted during this period will be required to prepare a Development Report that responds to guidelines set by the independent State Commission Assessment Panel. This document will be released for public consultation, where the community can provide feedback and comment. Any feedback/comments received will be considered in the final decision-making process.
Individual proposals will be listed on this page as they are submitted.
