Appointments with Housing SA

You may be asked to attend an appointment with Housing SA when you apply for services.

Find your nearest Housing SA office.

Attending appointments

It’s important to keep your appointment and arrive on time. If you're late for an appointment you can do either of these:

  • be seen for the time that remains
  • book another appointment.

During your appointment Housing SA will ask about your current situation and offer you advice about available housing options based on your needs.

You’ll be presented with a range of housing options to consider. These may include:

  • support to find or maintain private rental housing
  • registering for public and community housing if you can’t access or maintain other forms of housing like renting privately
  • being connected to other support services that may be able to help you.

What to bring

Bring any documents Housing SA asks you to provide such as proof of income and identity, or that show you have special circumstances such as health needs. Housing SA may ask for your consent to contact a support provider, such as a health practitioner or social worker, to verify your circumstances.

If you need help

If you need an interpreter for your appointment, ask Housing SA to arrange one for you. This is a free service.

You can ask to have someone else come with you to your appointment - such as a friend, relative or support worker.

If you live in a rural or remote area and can’t attend an office, talk to Housing SA about other options.

Reschedule an appointment

Phone Housing SA on 131 299 or email housingcustomers@sa.gov.au as soon as possible to reschedule an appointment or change the location.
