One hundred per cent of funds donated to the SA Pinery Fire appeal will be distributed to people affected by the Pinery Fire, with priority given to those most in need. The State Emergency Relief Fund (SERF) Committee is independent of government and is responsible for distributing the funds. Based on analysis of the impacts of the fire the SERF Committee ensures the appropriate and fair distribution of all funds.

Community groups and organisations are invited to submit an application for a community development project that assists communities affected by the Pinery fire.
The Community Strength and Resilience Initiative offers gift payments for community development projects that respond to an identified, local need and help build more inclusive, engaged and safer communities.
The State Emergency Relief Fund Committee is offering one-off payments of up to $5,000 to community groups and organisations to provide the communities affected by the Pinery fire with medium-to-long term recovery support and assistance.
Applications will be received by the State Emergency Relief Fund Committee until 31 October 2016.

The SA Pinery Fire Relief Appeal closed on 30 June 2016.
Any late donations received after this date will be paid into the State Emergency Relief Fund and provided to those affected by the Pinery fire or provided to people affected by a future emergency event.
