Becoming a volunteer

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community. There are many opportunities to make a contribution to various areas of community life, such as helping older people with their meals or shopping, fighting bushfires, sitting on a board or committee, or planting trees in a public reserve. Through such experiences, you will learn new skills, develop social networks or gain experience which may assist in employment or educational pursuits.
