This service enables you to check all occupational licences and registrations issued by Consumer and Business Services.

Go straight to the licensing public register.

Who can use the register

This service is available to anyone to check if a person or business is licensed in South Australia or to find a person licensed to do work in South Australia.

Occupations covered are:

  • builder
  • conveyancer
  • land agent
  • land sales representative
  • plumber, gas fitter and electrician
  • second-hand motor vehicle dealer
  • security and investigation agent
  • travel agent.

Before you start

To use the licensing public register you will need either:

  • the licence number of the service supplier
  • the surname or the trading name of the service supplier.

The service supplier's name and licence number may be found on their business card, written quotation, website or on other promotional material.

How to use the register

  1. Go to the licensing public register
  2. Choose the occupation and licence type from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click 'search'.
  4. Enter either the licence number or the name of the service supplier in the appropriate boxes.
  5. Click 'search' button or press 'enter' on your keyboard.
  6. View the search results.
