Doing business with government

Procurement overview and contacts

Businesses and organisations are encouraged to become suppliers to the Government of South Australia.

Procurement is based on value for money and presents many opportunities for businesses.

As well as making purchases, public authorities are generally responsible for selecting suppliers and establishing supplier arrangements. In practice, the procurement process involves:

  • planning for procurement
  • the selection process
  • establishing and managing contracts
  • the disposal of surplus goods.
