Accessible pathways to care are created through our vital services and activities that offer healthy choices and relieve suffering—restoring mind, spirit and relationships. Lifeline currently has more than 11,000 Australians who volunteer their time to our Lifeline in order to provide services that support other Australians. Dedicated volunteers and community spirit is the backbone of Lifeline.

The CFS is an emergency service organisation that deals with a vast array of emergencies including: bush and grass fires (Wildfires), structural fires, storm damage and floods, motor vehicle accident rescues, hazardous chemical spills and industrial accidents. As a CFS Volunteer there are many and varied roles for you to undertake. Your personal safety is an integral part of standard operational procedures. The CFS provides full training and a range of support services to its Volunteers.

Since 1914 Australian Red Cross has been responding to the needs of Australians in suburbs and towns right across the country. Through war, drought, flood and fire our volunteers have responded willingly and risen to the task with a passion and commitment that has become renowned. Its a reputation that is richly deserved, embodying the universal spirit of the Red Cross.

[07] VERIS is an online system for registration and allocation of the many spontaneous volunteers who generously lend a hand to help the community in post-disaster recovery operations following the event of a declared State Emergency. VERIS allows volunteers to be quickly matched with tasks following a major emergency - particularly when time is of the essence. This system is only activated and promoted in the event of a disaster and is supported by a phone line for those unable to access a computer.
