Never attempt electrical work unless you are qualified to do so. DIY electrical jobs can be extremely dangerous causing deaths, serious injuries and fires. They could also invalidate your insurance in the event of fire or other damage.
If you need electrical work completing or an electrical appliance installed:
This applies to all installation work including homes, caravans and boats.
If you feel that completed electrical work is unsafe or unsatisfactory:
- contact the electrician who installed the equipment and ask for the problem to be fixed
- if unsuccessful contact the equipment supplier
- if the problem is still not resolved contact the Office of the Technical Regulator.
