Driver and operator accreditation

Driver accreditation is required before a person can drive a public passenger vehicle for hire, fare or reward. It applies to drivers of any public passenger vehicle including taxis, buses and chauffeured vehicles. Drivers of public passenger vehicles must undergo an accreditation process to make sure they are fit and proper and of good repute.

Operator accreditation is required for any person or company that provides a passenger transport service within (or partly within) South Australia.

The one-stop-shop for taxis and passenger vehicles assesses the applications and can assist applicants.  Applications can be lodged at the one-stop-shop for taxis and passenger vehicles or posted to:
