Boat Code agents are contracted by the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) to:
- examine vessels for signs that they have been stolen and rebirthed
- issue and verify hull identification numbers (HIN)
- verify vessel details and provide a written certificate to DPTI for recording on a database.
To make an appointment phone the agent. A Boat Code fee is payable before the HIN plates are fitted.
