Equipment is provided to individuals, government and non-government organisations.
How do I get equipment?
If you get help at home through Domiciliary Care SA, talk to your worker. They can arrange for someone to assess the type of equipment you might need.
If you don't receive any help from Domiciliary Care SA currently contact them on 8193 1234.
DES will deliver and install all items.
If you work for another government department or non-government agency and need to get equipment for your clients, contact the DES on 8193 1234.

The Domiciliary Equipment Service provide a equipment catalogue online so that you can see the range of equipment available. They can then provide help or information with the following:
Equipment hire
DES has equipment for long and short term hire including showering and toileting aids, wheelchairs and mobility aids, hospital beds, pressure mattresses and patient lifters. All rental equipment goes through a comprehensive quality cycle to ensure that the correct item is safe for use by each client.
Equipment sales
DES has a range of minor aids and low cost items available for purchase.
Delivery and installation
DES staff have been trained to safely and appropriately install all hire and purchase equipment. Equipment Liaison Officers provide clients with basic instructions on the use and general maintenance of the equipment.
Repairs and maintenance
A team of trained repair staff provide a full range of repairs and scheduled maintenance to all DES equipment. Each rental item is cleaned in accordance with infection control guidelines upon its return to DES, and each item is then put through our quality cycle to ensure its safety.
Home modifications
DES currently undertakes home modifications for clients of Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA) and Domiciliary Care SA (DCSA).
