Using your Seniors Card
Look out for the Seniors Card logo, which you'll usually see displayed at participating businesses. Let the sales person know that you have a Seniors Card before you pay, so that you get any discounts available.
Some advertised specials and other promotions may not attract the additional discount listed. Check before you buy if you're in doubt.
Some businesses provide a discount to cardholders but are not listed in Your Lifestyle Guide. We suggest that every time you go shopping you ask "do you give a discount to Seniors Card holders?" You might get a pleasant surprise.
Using your card interstate
Generally, your South Australian Seniors Card will be accepted by businesses in other Australian states and territories.
Check with the Seniors Card office in the state or territory you're visiting as different conditions may apply. For current contact details visit the Seniors Card webpage.
Interstate public transport
Seniors Card holders living anywhere in Australia can take advantage of concessional public transport fares in the state or territory they are visiting. This means holders of a South Australian Seniors Card can access concessional public transport offered to Seniors Card holders of other states or territories (some exclusions apply).
When visiting South Australia, holders of interstate Seniors Cards can access free off-peak travel and concessional peak travel when using Adelaide Metro public transport.
To find out what public transport concessions are available in other states or territories, visit the
