Disability action plan

The disability action plan aims to:

ensure all community housing tenants are housed in properties tailored to their needs and abilities, and
facilitate the inclusion of all community housing members, tenants and their supports in programs, policies, services and facilities, regardless of their varying abilities.

The plan supports a multi-faceted approach involving:

client focussed practices
providing adaptable, safe and sustainable housing
inclusive processes and communications accessible to everyone
the awareness of diverse issues facing people with disabilities and their carers
establishing and maintaining partnerships between community housing organisations, tenants and members, and other agencies and organisations.

The implementation and management of this plan is the responsibility of Community Partnerships and Growth and policies have been developed in accordance with this action plan.
