The proposal for Cape Bauer Ecotourism Resort by Streaky Bay Group at Streaky Bay.
The development includes the construction of a range of environmentally sustainable tourist, seasonal holiday and rural residential accommodation.
It comprises:
International eco-tourism resort and seasonal holiday accommodation
- a four to five star ecotourism resort including hotel/motel accommodation, conference facilities, restaurant, commercial areas and a pool - also attached will be 22 self-contained coastal villa accommodation units
- a further 30 individual dwellings on small land parcels as owner-occupied holiday home accommodation.
Approximately 300 rural residential allotments
- 320 hectares for rural residential allotments numbering 300 land parcels.
Environmental habitat restoration
- habitat restoration for 47% of the land
- revegetation of marginal primary production land representing 27% of the land.
