Concessions
You may be eligible for concessions or discounts for charges such as:
- council rates and dog registration
- Emergency Services levy
- electricity and gas bills
- water and sewerage rates
- public transport
- driver and vehicle licensing.

Compensation
You might be eligible for compensation if disability is the result of an accident. Contact the Law Society of South Australia and ask for advice about seeing a personal injury solicitor.
You will have to pay for any services you receive from Disability Services if you receive compensation, or you may choose to pay for services from a private service provider. See the list of approved service providers.

Payments to help your child attend school
You don’t need to live in the country to be eligible. The Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme can help if you live too far from a primary or secondary school that is suitable for your child.

Help to pay for continence products
If your child has permanent and severe incontinence, you might be able to get help to pay for continence products from the Continence Aids Payment Scheme.
