There are many non-government agencies that provide support. You may be able to book in by calling a service directly (there may be fees) or get advice about where to go for a referral. You can:
Medicare covers the full cost of some bulk-billed health services that may be useful for people with a disability. For example:
- a doctor (GP) can write a GP management plan for a person with a chronic medical condition
- a doctor can coordinate a team care arrangement with other health and care providers.
Talk to your family doctor to find out if you are eligible. Before you agree to any health care, it's important to ask about fees and if your doctor bulk bills.
