How to get help
For free help and advice about home modifications, view the Independent Living Centre brochure or phone the centre on 1300 885 886 (SA/NT callers only) or 8266 5260.
Your local council may be able to complete minor home modifications. There may be a fee for this service depending on your council area.
You must be an eligible client to receive assistance from Disability Services. Contact your local Disability Services office or your Disability Services accommodation manager and an assessment of your home will be arranged. If you are not already a client see eligibility and referrals.
For more information see the equipment and home modifications program information sheet.
If you are over 65, have a newly diagnosed disability and need support, visit the housing and help at home and Seniors pages.
