There are many organisations in South Australia that provide community and sporting opportunities for people with disability.

Opportunities to participate

If you're looking for an opportunity to participate a list of sporting organisations, sporting clubs and community groups is provided by the Office for Recreation and Sport. For more information email participation@sa.gov.au or phone 7424 7792.

Discover sport and physical activity programs in your area through Sports Ability or phone your State Coordinator on 7424 7677

For information about general programs and activities in your area contact your local council.

Support to attend events and activities

If you receive support from Disability Services, you may be able to get additional support to attend events and activities in your community. For more information contact your local Disability Services office.

If you are not a Disability Services client see eligibility and referrals.

Free entry to activities and events for companions

If you have a disability and need lifelong care, the Companion Card allows another person to accompany you free-of-charge to many venues and activities in South Australia.

Day activities

The day option program service provider information provides a guide to post-school day services and activities that can be enjoyed by school leavers and replaces the Look Book. For activities see Disability Services social, recreation and support groups

Purchase your own activities

Service providers can be approached directly, see a current list of Disability Services approved service providers. You may be able to book in by calling a service directly (there may be fees) or they will advise you where to go for a referral.
